    Benny Blake Roberts

    Benny Blake Roberts, 75 of Lake City, died Dec. 16.

    Preceded in death by parents, Huel Blake and Edith Wright Roberts.

    Benny is survived by the mother of his children, Shirley Faye Roberts of Jacksboro; sons, Kirtus Roberts of Lake City, Benny Roberts of Jacksboro, John Thomas Roberts of Lake City; daughters, Sherree Phillips of Lake City, Sandy Marshall of Powell, Sheryl Ann Phillips of Lake City, Sue Lynn Roberts of Lake City, Stephanie Clowers of Lake City.

    Emma Katherine Musick, 80, of LaFollette died.

    Preceded in death by parents, Charles R. Musick and Nola G. Stewart Musick.

    Funeral services were held Dec. 17 in the Cross Smith Chapel. Interment was in the Temple Hill Cemetery.

    Opal Branam, 78 of LaFollette died Dec. 12.

    Preceded in death by husband, Virgil LC Branam; parents, Elias and Tacy Wilburn.

    Opal is survived by son, Doyle Branam of LaFollette; daughter, Gail Haynes of Duff.

    Funeral services were held Dec. 17 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Sands and Rev. Francis Dople officiating. Interment was in the Davis Cemetery.

    Curtis C. Monday

    Curtis C. Monday, 83 of LaFollette passed away Dec. 9 at his home. He was a lifelong member and trustee of Ford Town Baptist Church. He loved his family, church and business. Curt was a Veteran of World War II. He owned and operated Monday Motor Co., Pontiac, and GMC dealership in LaFollette for 25 years.

    Preceded in death by parents, Fred and Icy Lasley Monday; sisters, June Harrell and Bonnie Monday.

    James Austin Graves, 56, of Speedwell died Dec. 7.

    Preceded in death by parents, Grover and Lucy Ann Graves; grandparents, James and Doxie Graves and Calvin and Upil Suttles.

    James is survived by wife, Carolyn; daughter, Amy Lynn Fortner.

    Funeral services were held Dec. 9 at the Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Gaylor and Rev. Jody Moore officiating. Interment was in the Moyers Family Cemetery.

    Sylvia Mae Chapman Carter died Dec. 8.

    Preceded in death by husband, Robert H. Carter.

    Sylvia is survived by daughters, Stella L. Fain, Wanda S. Holaday.

    Graveside services and interment were held Dec. 14 in the Hall Cemetery.

    John Wayne Cinnamon

    John Wayne Cinnamon, 52, of Knoxville, formerly of Sevierville and LaFollette, passed away Dec. 11 at Mercy Hospice in Halls. He was of the Baptist faith and Employed at Baptist and St. Mary’s Hospital for several years.

    Preceded in death by parents, Floyd and Shirley Shelby Cinnamon.

    James Troy Lloyd, Sr.

    James Troy Lloyd, Sr., 70, of Sidney, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 11 at 1:42 a.m.  He passed away at Wilson Memorial Hospital.  James was born on August 6, 1940 in Briceville, TN.  He was the son of the late Minnie (Marlow) and Wayne Lloyd.  James retired from Consolidated Metco.  He was of the Pentecostal faith.

    In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by brothers, Wayne Lloyd, Jr., and Fred Lloyd; sister, Juanita L. Eastridge.

    David Lugo Sr., 45, of Jellico died Dec. 6 at Jellico Community Hospital.

    Preceded in death by mother, Ramona Vega Lugo.

    David is survived by father, Rev. Jamie Garcia Lugo of Chicago, IL; sons, David Lugo, Jr. of Melrose Park, IL, Jamie Lugo.

    Funeral services were held Dec. 11 in the chapel of Harp Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Fuson and Rev. Woody Jackson officiating.

    Joseph P. Chaffman

    Joseph P. Chaffman, 64, of Jellico died Dec. 9.

    Joseph is survived by daughter, Wendy Craford; sons, Paul Chaffman and Joseph Chaffman.

    Funeral services were held Dec. 11 in the Cox and Son Chapel with Father Joe Koury officiating. Interment was in the Webb Cemetery.
