    Dovie Ward

    Dovie Ward, 89, of Caryville, died July 19.

    Preceded in death by parents, Owen and Jane Seiber Brock; husband, Pearlie Ward; sons, Jimmy and Johnny Ward; daughters, Betty Ward.

    Dovie is survived by sons, Homer Ward of Caryville, Fred Ward of Caryville, Hobart Ward of Caryville; daughters, Anna Lou McKamey of Caryville, Katty Hale of Jacksboro.

    Funeral services were held July 21 at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Phillips officiating. Interment was in the Bullock Cemetery.

    Cody Allen Phillips, 21, died July 20.

    Cody is survived by parents, David and Pamela Phillips of Lake City; wife, Kerrie Phillips of Lake City; daughter, Raylee Phillips; grandparents, Lonnie Phillips of Lake City, Janie Phillips of Clinton and Paul Smith of Lake City.

    A celebration of life service was held July 24 at Pine Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Lynn Mowery officiating.

    Kathleen Head, 83 of Caryville died July 23.

    Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Cora Mae Moore Lovett; husband, Jack T. Head, sons; Frank Harris and Johnny Head; daughter, Jackie Paul.

    Kathleen is survived by son, Robert David Head Sr. of Caryville; daughter, Julia Ann Vitatoe of Caryville.

    Graveside services were held July 27 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

    Mary Gibson, 82 of LaFollette died July 22. 

    Preceded in death by husband, Arthur “Ot” Gibson; parents, Barney Carroll and Rosie Riggs Carroll.

    Mary is survived by daughter, Linda Chapman.

    Funreal services were held July 25 in the Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leroy Braden officiating. Interment was in the Bakers Forge Cemetery.

    Sean Eldon Boshears, 42 of Jacksboro died July 18.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Boshears.

    Sean is survived by mother, Barbara Boshears of Jacksboro; wife, Amy Boshears of Jacksboro; son, Dylan Boshears of Waynesville, Il; daughters, MaKenzie and Kalyn Boshears, both of Jacksboro.

    Funeral services were held July 23 in the Martin-Wilson Chapel with Rev. Ron Williams officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Paran Cemetery.

    James Daniel Green, 51, of Dalton, Ga, died July 18. 

    Preceded in death by father, Jack Ridley Green.

    James is survived by wife, Tracy Green of Georgia; sons, Jeff Ritchey of Bluff City, Terry Green and Jeremy Green, both of Dalton, Ga; daughter, Jessica Dixon “Green” of LaFollette; mother, Jennie Braden Green of LaFollette.

    Services to celebrate his life were held July 20 at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Marcus officiating. Interment was held in the Silvers Family Cemetery.
