    Paula is survived by daughter, Melissa Murphy; sons, Tommy and John Higgins.

    A service will be held at the Well Springs Cemetery at a later date.

    Charline Bunch

    Charline Bunch, 66, of Jacksboro, died July 8.

    Preceded in death by husband, Menton Bunch; parents, Charlie and Tressie Vinsant Thompson.

    Charline is survived by daughters, Sandra Griffin, Pam Bailey and Tina Whaley.

    Funeral services were held July 11 in the Cross-Smith Chapel with Rev. Tommy Reece officiating. Interment was in the Queener Cemetery.

    Cora Thompson Rogers

    Cora Thompson Rogers of LaFollette, passed away July 9, 2011 at St. Mary’s Health and Rehab Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church LaFollette and attended LaFollette United Methodist Church for many years. She owned and operated Western Auto Store in LaFollette for 40 years.

    Preceded in death by first husband, W.C. (Bill) Thompson; son, Rusty Thompson; parents, Frank and Mary Helfrick; five sisters and four brothers.

    Ronnie Lee Douglas, 68 of Knoxville, died July 10.

    Preceded in death by parents, James Howard Sr. and Joy Marie Smith Douglas.

    Ronnie is survived by son, Ron Douglas Jr.; daughters, Teresa Pfeffinger, Kim Wohlford.

    Funeral services were held July 12 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Lyke officiating. Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City.

    Audra Mae “Bobbie” Russell, 84 of Speedwell died July 10. 

    Preceded in death by parents, Horace and Carrie Bullard Leach.

    Audra is survived by husband, Lloyd Russell of Speedwell; daughter, Gayle Hutson of LaFollette; son, David Russell of Speedwell.

    Funeral services were held July 12 in the Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Elder J.C. Monday and Rev. Roger Leach officiating. Interment was in the Leach Cemetery.

    Jeffrey Scott Welch, 49, of Speedwell, died July 3. 

    Jeffrey is survived by daughters, Misty Hensley of Harrogate, Stormy Welch of North Carolina; father, Dan Welch of Speedwell; mother, Blanch Welch of Speedwell.

    Funeral services were held July 6 in the Reece Valley Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Branscomb officiating. Interment was in the Welch Cemetery.

    Graylon Abbott Lamb died July 7.

    Preceded in death by parents, Joe E. and Maude Lowe Abbott; husband, Berlean Lamb Sr.

    Graylon is survived by sons, Berlean Lamb Jr.”Jake” of Clinton, William Joe Lamb of Clinton, Roger “Bo” Lamb of Clinton; daughters, Rita Jean Beach of Richfield, NC, Linda Wells of Clinton.

    Funeral services were held July 10 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home with Rev. Bill McDaniel officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

    James “Jim” Edward Elliott, 58, of Lake City died July 4.

    James is survived by wife, Connie Sharp Elliott; daughters, Jenefer Jane “J.J.” Elliott of Kernersville, NC, Natalie Jean Elliott of Norfolk, Va and Emilie Louise Elliott of Norris.

    Ralph L. Jeffers

    Ralph L. Jeffers, 78 of LaFollette, passed away July 6. He was born on December 9, 1932. He was a Korean Veteran, teacher, and was retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory where he served as a Health Physicist Supervisor for 29 years. He was Post Master of Stooksbury Masonic Lodge #602. He attended church at Cumberland Hope Community Church.

    Preceded in death by parents, John R. and Lyda Jeffers; father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Cecil Rector.
