Several items received approval at the LaFollette Utility monthly meeting on Monday . General Manager Kenny Baird said action was taken on three different items during the meeting.
The first item of discussion was tree-trimming bids for 17 miles of new line construction in Caryville. Three bids were received, the high bid was $250,000 and the low bid was $38,750. A very large difference between the two bids led Baird to believe the high bid was basically a no bid.
The board approved the low bidder, Wolf Tree Company, for the project.
