A one-time middle school teacher accused of having inappropriate contact with students will not stand trial this week.
Harold Dean Branam was set for to face a jury on Wednesday.
However, at the request of his attorney, Michael Hatmaker, that has been postponed. Branam’s new trial date is Nov. 18.
In March, Branam was indicted 10 combined charges. He faces three counts of sexual battery and seven counts of assault, the court record said.
