While the odor that drifted through LaFollette in early October is gone, one man is still saying something stinks.
“This was a Hazmat situation,” said Dave Dunaway, a LaFollette attorney. “The mayor (Mike Stanfield) should not have said it was harmless.”
Dunaway’s comments came on the heels of a report released by the LaFollette Utilities Board earlier this week. It was compiled after a subcontractor on a sewer line project released a substance into the system. In the days that followed a heavy odor lingered over LaFollette.
