The Blessedness of the Lord’s Invitation

“…Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb…” (See Revelation 19:9, RSV).

To be invited means that we are remembered included, chosen, and desired. That, in itself, is a blessing. None of us wants to be left out. In Revelation we are offered the blessing of being invited to “the marriage supper of the Lamb” – the great heavenly banquet for Christ and his bride, the church.

  • On Higher Ground

“I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world” (John 17:15,18).

I was a little wary at first. Old prejudices began to surface. Did I really want to reconnect with some of these high school classmates?  I remember what they were like back then.
