Thanks to an anonymous donor, the Campbell County Humane Society has received enough funds to spay/neuter approximately 50 animals. This will make it easier and more affordable for those animals to be adopted out, according to Betty Crumley, director of the Campbell County Humane Society.
With the economy the way it is, these funds are coming just in time, Crumley said.
She said that as the economy decreased, the number of pets being left at the shelter increased. Many people just could not afford to keep pets any longer.
