  • The East Tennessee Human Resource Agency will take applications for the USDA Commodities at the Campbell County E.T.H.R.A.  beginning Nov. 1 and at the Jellico Library on Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Please bring the following items, valid I.D., current mailing address, current income statements for all members staying in the household, check stubs, SSI/social security benefits, DHS or food stamp print-out, individuals may be asked for their social security numbers.   • GBC Quilting Retreat will be held Oct. 29 and 30 at Galilee Bible Camp beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Saturday. Registration starts at 6:30 p.m., the cost is $25.

     

    Mount Harmony Baptist Church will have a singing on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. Singing groups will be The Dyer Family and Soldiers of the Cross.

     

  • Come hear the scary history of LaFollette as told by local story teller Allan Miller. Tour dates are Oct 28 and 29 from 6:30 till 10 p.m. Tours will start at Seargent Park in downtown LaFollette and end at the LaFollette House. Price is only $5 per person and part of the proceeds will benefit the LaFollette Housing Authority relay for life team.

     

    White Oak Volunteer Fire Department will host a Spook House at 6 p.m. on Oct. 28 and 29 at the fire hall.  All proceeds go to the volunteer fire department.

  • Indiana Avenue Baptist Church will continue revival services through Oct. 17 with David Ford of Globe, Az. Service times are 11 a.m. on Sunday morning, 6 p.m. Sunday night and 7 p.m. weeknights, nursery provided.

     

    Faith Tabernacle will hold revival services on Oct . 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. and homecoming services on Oct. 17 at 11 a.m.
