Farris’ rally led the Jacksboro Eagles to a big win on eighth grade night, avenging an earlier loss to the Owls, as they took the cross-town game, 36-27.

Campbell County High School unveiled its new scorer’s table during Tuesday’s games against the Halls Red Devils.

The new table is a newer model than what the school had, complete with padding that covers the front of the table.

“I think that the athletes really appreciate it,” Athletic Director Sherry Chapman said. “Most of the schools are going to the padded tables. We’re just excited to finally get one. Hopefully, it’ll last a long time.”

Turnovers caused Jacksboro to fall behind quick against Jefferson on Tuesday night.

Playing for a spot in the Area 2 AAA championship game, Jacksboro fell short after four straight turnovers to start the game resulted in a 9-0 Jefferson run.

The Eagles could never recover, as they fell 45-41 in the second round.

They both wore the same number, and now, they both belong to the same club.

Before Tuesday’s matchup with the Powell Panthers, Corey Poteet joined his brother Chris in the Campbell County 1,000-point club.

On Dec. 17, during the Clinton game, Corey Poteet scored his 1,000th career point for the Campbell County Cougars.
