Several county high school football players recently received all-district accolades.
Campbell County High School senior Keenan Evans was named lineman of the year in District 3-AAA.
Last year, Evans shared the same honor with an Oak Ridge player.
Other CCHS players selected to the All-District 3-AAA Team included: offensive lineman Tyler Green, defensive lineman Donovan Long and running back Wesley Cook. Long, who boasts a 3.95 grade point average, received a scholar/athlete award.
Wide receiver Brandon Long, Donovan’s younger brother, was an honorable mention selection to the team.
Jellico had half a dozen players earn All-District 4-A honors. Receiver/defensive backs Nathan Overton and Tyler Brummett, quarterback Devin Oakes and running back/linebacker Ryan Irwin made the first team; while Austin Bowlin and Daniel Steakley were second team picks.
