LaFOLLETTE—Johnathan Tayler Baker, 18, 490 College Hill Road, is charged with theft after he allegedly tried to sell a stolen ring on Facebook, according to Campbell County Sheriff’s Office records.
The owner of the ring, Minnie Baird, reportedly saw the page online, according to police reports. She told Campbell County Sheriff that Baker indicated he would allegedly place the ring in his mailbox prior to the owner’s arrival.
The owner reportedly found the ring in Baker’s mailbox on Feb. 16 and identified the jewelry as her own.
Baker claimed he found the ring in a friend’s yard, according to reports. He was then placed under arrest and transported to the Campbell County Jail. This was his second booking.
