Play reflects year at CCHS

JACKSBORO—The Campbell County High School Theatre Arts Spring Semester classes present their final play production of the year: Yearbook.

The play is a look back at life at CCHS this year, including tributes to three classmates who have passed. The play was written as a tribute to Columbine High in Littleton, Colo. — the site of a horrific school shooting in 1999 — but has been designed to allow individual schools to alter scenes to fit their own communities.  Each year, the playwright donates 100 percent of his royalties to anti-violence/anti-bullying campaigns.

“This play is truly a way to reach out and touch communities and students,” said Billie Jo Ralston, CCHS Theatre Arts Instructor.

The drama will be presented in the auditorium on the CCHS campus 6:30 p.m. Friday. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

Cost is $5; tickets may be purchased in advance from Ralston or any cast member, or at the door on the night of the performance.
