Jellico Middle School and the Christian Academy of Campbell County swept their divisions last week in the 2010 Campbell County Elementary/Middle School Basketball Tournament at LaFollette.
In the small middle school bracket, Jellico’s girls beat Elk Valley, while the Jellico boys topped White Oak in two of the half dozen tournament championship games played on Saturday afternoon.
The CACC Warriors won both girl’s and boy’s small elementary school titles. The Lady Warriors completed a perfect 15-0 season by defeating Jellico for their title. The Warriors, who lost only one game this season, topped Wynn in boy’s action.
In the large elementary school division, LaFollette’s girls capped an unbeaten (13-0) season with a championship victory over Valley View. It marked the third consecutive year that the Lady Owls have captured a county title. Jacksboro’s boys beat Caryville in a close game for the boy’s crown.
In Friday’s large middle school division championship games pitting LaFollette against Jacksboro, the Lady Owls won the girl’s crown, while the Eagles claimed the boy’s title.
