When I started reading the four gospels in The Bible concerning the life of Jesus, I wondered why the Son of God had to spend so much time in prayer. Then I learned, He came to earth as a mortal man to be our supreme example.
If we follow His example, we will do well because someday we, too, will rise again!
If Satan can tempt Jesus, then why do you think he can’t tempt you? (Matthew 4:1-11)
I don’t think Satan can read our mind, but I think by listening to us and watching us, he knows what we are thinking. Then as the saying goes, he adds fuel to the fire. Often we give Satan ammunition to use against us. How? If we are not careful, by what we say when we open our mouth. How do we be careful concerning this? Pray without ceasing.
Often I find myself humming or singing an old hymn or a praise song.
Another way to stay close to God is to keep the 10 commandments God gave to Moses.
He did not say you could alter or tone them down to fit any certain era. Then stand firm.

It seems like a good plan to follow. If we pray without ceasing, obey the commandments is a good plan.
Some seem to ignore that there is much kingdom work to do.
