    Nettie Honeycutt Hill

    Nettie Honeycutt Hill, 78, of LaFollette went to be with Jesus on April 9.

    Nettie was employed by Balloff’s Clothing Stores and the Balloff Family for nearly forty years.  She was a member of Mountain View Independence Baptist Church (formerly LaFollette Baptist Temple) and taught Sunday school there for many years.  She was an avid walker and covered many a mile in her 78 years.  She loved to garden in her spaire time and was a huge Lady Vols Fan.

    Donnie Hurst, 53, of Speedwell, died April 8.

    Donnie is survived by sons, Daniel and Corie Hurst of LaFollette; father, Harim Hurst of Frakes, Ky; mother, Rosa Ann Hurst of LaFollette.

    Funeral services were held April 10 in the Cross-Smith Chapel with Rev. Carl Edwards officiating. Interment was in the Flat Hollow Cemetery.

    Cross-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

    Jess E. Perkins, 79, of Jellico died April 5.

    Jess is survived by wife, Lydia June Douglas Perkins; daughters, Janet Lee Perkins of Jellico, Elizabeth Kacir of Clinton Township, Mi, Lorene Perkins of LaFollette; sons, Jesse Andrew Perkins of London, Ky, Timothy Ray Perkins of Jellico.

    Funeral services were held April 8 at the Llewellyn Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Crawford officiating. Interment was in the Dulling-King Cemetery.

    Preceded in death by parents, Park L. and Bertha Howard Taylor.

    America is survived by husband, Clifford Scott of LaFollette; son, Tim Dash of Pathfork, Ky; daughter, Peggy Scott of LaFollette.

    Von McCoy, 87, of Lake City, died April 7.

    Preceded in death by parents, Condy and Gussie Foust McCoy; daughter, Tammy McCoy; first wife, Margie Hutson McCoy.

    Von is survived by wife, Bernice McCoy of Lake City; daughters, Renee McCoy Hundley of Virginia, Debbie McCoy Rann of Georgia.

    Funeral services were held April 10 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Foust officiating. Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

    Funeral services and interment were held April 10 in the Queener Cemetery with Rev. David Gresher officiating.

Adrion is survived by wife, Marylene Baird of LaFollette; daughter, Melissa Beyer of Md and Connie Greiner of LaFollette. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on April 8 at the Old Pathway Gospel Church with Rev. James Leach officiating. Interment will follow in the Valley View Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Campbell County Honor Guard. Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

    John Emerson Evans, 35, of LaFollette passed away April 5 from a long battle with cancer.

    Preceded in death by father, Clarance J. Evans; grandparents, Emerson and Elva Jones, Ethel Ford and Clifford Relford.

    John is survived by daughter, Kloe Evans; mother, Jean Evans; brothers, Doug and Allen Evans; sisters, Debbie Bowlin, Elizabeth Sharp, Alice Hatmaker and Ruth Arnett; special friend and caregiver, Daniel Lough.
